Description
Carr House is an early 19th century farmhouse that has a contemporary or slightly earlier barn attached at the rear. It is a rebuild of an earlier farmhouse. The house is two stories tall and constructed of sandstone "brick." It features a stone slate roof with coped gable ends and plain stone eaves brackets, as well as corniced chimneys. The south front has four mid-19th century sash windows with thin lintels and a plain doorway. The barn, which extends as a wing to the rear, is also made of stone "brick" and has a stone slate roof. On the west side of the barn, there are five narrow stone-framed lunette vents, and there is a reset lintel date stone that reads 1692.
