Description

A row of six cottages, numbers 6 to 16, dated approximately 1822. They are constructed of dressed millstone grit with stone slate roofs. The row is designed with a curved plan that follows the road. Each cottage is two stories high and one bay wide. Each has a six-panel door set within a simple stone surround, and a three-light, flat-faced mullion window with a flush stone surround to both floors. Number 12 features an additional single-light window positioned above the door. The cottages have corniced stacks. These were originally built as dwellings for mill workers.
