Description

This is a circa 1830-40 building, originally a shop with living accommodation above. It is a three-storey structure with a five-bay front built of dressed sandstone that appears like brick. The front features a plinth, an ashlar plat band with deep grooving, a sill band to the second floor, a cornice, and a blocking course. The ground floor windows are recessed to create a slightly projecting order. Original sash windows with glazing bars remain intact on the second floor. A panelled door is set within the ground floor, with a rectangular light above it.
