Description

This is a row of six cottages, numbered 202 to 214, located on Haycliffe Lane in Little Horton. The cottages were built around 1820 to 1830 and are constructed of sandstone that appears like brickwork. They are stepped to accommodate the slope of the land. The buildings feature sill bands, stone brackets supporting an eaves gutter, and stone slate roofs with corniced chimneys. The windows are square-mullioned, with two lights per window, and many include small single-light windows above the door openings, which have plain jamb doorways. The row is listed for its architectural interest as an example of an unaltered cottage row.
