Description

Park House is a substantial house dated 1752, but likely with a late 18th-century refronting. It is constructed of sandstone “brick” with ashlar dressings. The house has a plinth, plat band, rusticated quoins, and a moulded eaves cornice. The roof is covered in stone slate and features flanking corniced chimneys and coped gables with shaped kneelers. The symmetrical front elevation has five bays, with shallow architraves surrounding the windows and the front door. The windows are 19th-century sash windows. At the rear is a four-light square mullion window, with some small panes remaining. A rainwater head is set into the stonework, bearing the inscription "R over I E 1752." Park House is situated within a large walled garden.
