Description
The barn at the west entrance to Concord Park is a structure that dates back to the early 17th century, although it has undergone alterations in the 19th century and has been restored and modified in the late 20th century. It features a cruck frame with coursed rubble cladding and a slate roof from the 19th century. The rebuilt south front includes two buttresses. On the left side, there are two 20th-century casement windows, and on the right, there are two 20th-century garage doors, all of which have concrete lintels.
Inside, the barn contains four pairs of crucks, with the feet of the crucks at the east end exposed. The second pair from the west includes a saddle. At the wall plate level, there are collars, single purlins, and wind braces at each end, while the rafters have been renewed. The west end features a stud partition with wattle and daub above the collar.
