Description
Limelands is a house dating from the late 18th century, with later additions. It is constructed of squared rubble limestone and features a pantile roof. The building stands two storeys high and has three windows on the first floor, with a later continuous outshut at the rear under a catslide roof.
The original part of the house is located on the left and has large quoins. It features a central panelled door set in an ashlar surround, flanked by later sash windows with projecting sills and plain lintels. On the first floor, there are two-light horizontal-sliding sashes, and a narrower blocked window is positioned above the door. To the right, there is a one-bay addition that matches the original style and shares the same roof. This addition has a door on the left with a 4-pane sash window, and a horizontal-sliding sash window above it.
The building is adorned with shaped kneelers and gable copings at each end of the range. The original house has stone end stacks, while the addition on the right features a brick end stack. On the right return, there are stone ledges in the gable beneath blocked holes that once served as a pigeon loft. The interior has not been inspected.
