Description

These three buildings, 53, 55, and 57 Northgate, date to 1701, as indicated by a plaque on the south gable. They are constructed of hammer-dressed stone and have pantiled roofs. The buildings are two storeys in height and feature five bays. Three bays have cased flush-framed sash windows with glazing bars. One bay has neo-Georgian windows, and the final bay contains a boarded shutter on the first floor and a boarded stable door at ground floor level. A semi-circular arched carriage entrance is located at the south end of the buildings.
