Description

Carlton House is an early 19th-century building located on the north side of Sunderland Street. It is constructed of hammer-dressed Magnesian limestone and has a fish scale slate roof. The two-storey building is three bays wide, featuring flush-framed sash windows with glazing bars. The entrance has a door with eight fielded panels and an oblong fanlight with glazing bars. The doorcase is wooden, with bolection moulding, panelled pilasters, a fluted frieze, and a moulded cornice.
