Description
Stockbridge Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century that has been altered over time. The exterior is pebble-dashed with Welsh slate and 20th-century cement-tile roofs. The building has two storeys and an attic, featuring three windows on the first floor and a double-depth plan. There is a chamfered plinth, which is partly exposed. The entrance includes a part-glazed door with a two-pane overlight, set beneath a moulded lintel that has a hoodmould with lozenge-shaped stops. Each floor has 8-pane sash windows, and there is a blind recess above the door. The gable ends have shaped kneelers and roll-moulded copings, with an ashlar flue on the right end. On the left side, there is a 20th-century casement window on the ground floor of the front range, while the first floor and attic have blind window recesses. The rear range is lower and features plain gable copings and an end stack. Inside, the panelling from the front-left room has been removed and taken to Doncaster Museum.
