Description

SE30NE BARNSLEY CROSS STREET (west side), 4/22 Monk Bretton Farmbuildings approx 20 6.2.52 metres to south of Manor Farmhouse (formerly listed under The Manor Farmhouse with barns and out-buildings to the North and South) GV II Stable block. Late C18, altered. Coursed rubble, Welsh slate roof. Two storeys, 3 bays. Quoins. 3 entrances with jambs and deep lintels. Ventilation slits. Small chamfered entrance to rear and small entrance up stone steps to right. To the left at 90° is an altered 2-storey range of coursed rubble with various altered and later openings. Included for group value.
