1/82 Ouslethwaite Hall 11.11.66 GV II Large house now 11 flats. Late C18, early C19 additions. For the Elmhirst estate.Deeply-coursed, dressed sandstone, C20 cement-tile roof. Double-depth. 3 storeys, 5 bays; with 2-storey single-bay wing set back on right extending as rear wing. Main facade: raised ashlar quoins. 3-step stylobate to Doric porch with full entablature enclosing panelled door with decorative radial glazing bars in overlight. 4-pane sashes to other bays on each floor have projecting sills and raised surrounds, central windows in ashlar panel and with moulded sills; 2nd- floor openings shorter. Hipped roof with corniced ashlar end stacks. Wing on right: blocked doorway on left has slightly pulvinated frieze and cornice, sashed Venetian window on right beneath tripartite sash; tall ashlar stack with cornice. Rear: tall round-headed stair window with external steps to door on half-landing. Right return: scattered fenestration of sashes and casements including 1 window of 30 panes and 1 of 24; various corniced stacks.

Interior: contemporary staircase with fielded-panel dado and simple turned balus- trade. some contemporary doors and fireplaces.
