Description
The former cowhouses and calf houses at Home Farm were built around 1800 for the Wentworth Castle estate. The structure features plastered, coursed rubble sandstone with brick at the rear and a Welsh slate roof. It has a central two-storey section, while the rest is single-storey, arranged in a pattern of 1:3:2:3:1 bays, with the end and central bays projecting forward. The central entrance has an ashlar surround and is flanked by windows with projecting sills on both floors. There is an ashlar band and pediment copings above. The side wings contain various doors and windows beneath an eaves band, and the right end bay is pedimented. At the time of resurvey, the building was noted to be in poor condition. It is included for its group value.
