Description

No. 103 Heslington Road is a house dating from around 1840 to 1850. It is constructed of mottled brick and features a slate roof. The building is a single storey with one bay on each side of the porch. The windows are glazing bar sashes. The roof extends down above two projecting brick walls to create an open porch. The inner doorway has a door with six raised and fielded panels, accompanied by an overlight with margin panes. To the left, there is a lower wing that is blind except for a small window towards its right. The interior has not been inspected. Historically, this building was the herdsman's cottage of Walmgate Stray.
