Description
No. 15 Grape Lane is a house and shop that dates from the late 18th century, with a refronting in the early 19th century and a 20th-century shopfront. The front is made of orange-beige brick in Flemish bond, while the rear is constructed of red brick in stretcher bond and rendered on the ground floor. It features a timber console cornice, a hipped pantile roof, and a brick stack.
The exterior has four storeys and a two-window front. The shopfront is framed by sunk-panelled pilasters, topped with a bold moulded cornice, and includes a glazed and panelled door to the left of a small-pane window. The first-floor windows are 12-pane sashes, while the second and third floors have 2x6-pane casements. All windows have brick sills and the upper floors feature segmental brick arches. There are three-course raised brick bands on the second and third floors.
At the rear, the left side has a 4-pane sash window on the ground floor, a 16-pane sash on the first floor, and small-pane casements on the second and third floors. The staircase windows on the right are 12-pane sashes, and the upper floor windows have segmental one-course brick arches. The interior has not been inspected.
