Description

The gates and railings attached to the front of Number 10 are located in York and date from the 19th century. They form the south-west side of the forecourt to Number 10. The structure features cast-iron railings and gates set on a chamfered stone plinth, standing approximately 1.25 metres high. The design includes baluster standards topped with ball finials, supporting both single and double gates, while the turned railings have pointed tips. These gates and railings are included for their group value as an integral part of Number 10.
