Description
The gates and railings at Dean's Park, located on the north-east side, were constructed in 1839 and repositioned in 1863 and later. They were made by the Walker Foundry. The gates, railings, and gate piers are crafted from cast iron and are complemented by chamfered stone walls. The railings have a square section with tapering tips and are set diagonally on low walls, with some featuring turned standards topped with urn finials. The gates match the railings and include some with arched braces. The gate piers vary in design; some are cylindrical with mushroom caps, while others are octagonal with trefoil-headed panelled sides and pomegranate finials.
