Description
Peel Cottage is an estate cottage located approximately 170 metres north-west of Walcot Hall. It was built in the early 19th century for the Goulton Estate. The cottage is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with brick dressings, featuring a stack and a right return. It has a pantile roof and stands two storeys high, with two first floor windows. The building has quoins and a central 20th-century board door that is set under a segmental brick arch. This door is flanked by 16-pane sliding sash windows, also under segmental brick arches. The first floor has similar windows. The cottage has stepped brick eaves and a hipped roof, with an end stack to the left. It is included for its group value.
