Description

The churchyard cross, located approximately 8 metres south of the south aisle of the Church of Saint Nicholas, is a medieval structure made of ashlar. It has a square base that is stepped with two courses, a chamfered pedestal, and the stump of a chamfered cross-shaft featuring broach stops. The cross stands approximately 1.4 metres high overall. At the top, there is a sundial inscribed with "Rich Faulding Ulceby Parish," which has a replacement gnomon from the 19th to 20th century. The cross dates back to 1720.
