Description
Nos 1 to 3 on Bigby Street are early 19th-century buildings that stand three storeys tall, constructed of red brick with ashlar dressings and a moulded eaves cornice. The left corner of the building is rounded and features a recessed panel. The front elevation has five windows, which are later hung sashes with glazing bars and stone lintels, along with a band at the cills. The first floor has five windows without glazing bars. The ground floor showcases an early 20th-century classical bank front, which is rusticated and includes pilasters. To the right, there is a modern shop front surrounded by rough rendering. The side elevation has two windows, with an additional two windows on the rear block. Nos 1 to 5 form a group with the Parish Church of St John.
