Description
Number 9 Market Lane is an early 19th-century building that stands three storeys tall, constructed from red brick with a pantile roof. The gable ends are stone-coped and feature kneelers. The building has two windows on the upper floors, which are hung sashes with glazing bars, and they are topped with rendered rusticated lintels and bands at the cills. The first-floor windows also have rusticated lintels with keystones. On the ground floor, there are two rectangular shop bays with glazing bars and a central door, all beneath a continuous entablature. Number 9 is part of a group that includes The Flour Mill and Nos 3 to 9 (odd), with No 5 being of local interest only.
