Description
This is an early 19th century building on the north side of Market Place. It is three storeys high and rendered to appear as stone, with a pantile roof. The right-hand gable has stone coping and kneeler details. Ionic pilasters mark the ends of the building. The top and first floors have single windows with sash glazing bars. Horizontal bands divide the floors. The ground floor has two windows without glazing bars, and a round-headed doorway with a moulded arch, keystone, and impost blocks, containing a panelled door. The building forms a group with numbers 3, 4, 6, and 7, and the Constitutional Club.
