Description

Haisthorpe Hall is a house that likely has origins from the late 18th century, with later additions and alterations that include a main range from the 19th century. It is constructed of pinkish-brown and gault brick in Flemish bond, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The building has two storeys and features three gabled bays, with the central bay being taller and projecting forward. At the rear, there is a three-storey, three-bay range from the 18th century, designed in the Gothick style.

The entrances on either side of the central porch consist of six-fielded-panel doors, while the centre features a 12-pane sash window with Gothick glazing at the top. Flanking the porch are narrow 12-pane sash windows, also with Gothick glazing. The building primarily has 18-pane sashes, all of which are set beneath hoodmoulds with label stops. Above the porch is a blind, quatrefoiled oculus, which is replicated at the apex of each gable. The gables are adorned with decorative barge boards. The east facade of the rear wing includes a multi-paned Gothick staircase window, while the rest of the rear mainly has 12-pane sashes under hoods supported by console brackets. Some 18-pane sashes can be found on the west facade.
