Description
Carnaby House is a farmhouse that likely dates from the late 18th century, with a refronting from the 19th century. It is constructed of pinkish-orange brick and features a painted stucco facade, ashlar dressings, and roofs made of cement tiles and pantiles. The building has two storeys and three bays, with an additional range at the rear. It is accented by quoins. The central entrance consists of a six-fielded-panel door with a divided overlight, set within a fluted Doric doorcase that includes a frieze and hood. The outer bays have tripartite sash windows with glazing bars, and above the door, there is a 12-pane sash window. An eaves band runs around the gable end, and there are brick kneelers and ashlar copings. The end stacks are topped with ashlar cornices, and some 18th-century sash windows can be found in the rear wing.
