Description
Hill Farmhouse is a farmhouse that features the date "WS 1822" on a plaque, indicating it was built in that year, with later additions and alterations. The building is constructed from whitewashed coursed stone and has a pantile roof with brick stacks. It is two storeys high and has three bays, with a two-bay range to the left and a single storey with an attic. The farmhouse has brick quoins and a central entrance that includes steps leading up to a four-panel door, which is sheltered by a 20th-century wooden porch. The plaque is located to the right of the entrance.
On the ground floor, there are 18-pane, three-light Yorkshire sash windows beneath cement lintels. The first floor features a similar sash window to the left, a four-pane, two-light Yorkshire sash window in the center, and a six-pane, three-light Yorkshire sash window to the right, all set under cambered brick arches. The roof has ridge and end stacks, and the eaves are stepped. The brick and rendered kneelers and copings add to the architectural detail. The range to the left includes a casement window and a two-light Yorkshire sash window, along with a roof dormer.
