Description
Highfield House is a house built around 1837. It is constructed of red brick in English garden wall bond and has a slate roof. The house features a central direct entry plan and stands two storeys high with three bays. The entrance includes a 20th-century door set within a Doric doorcase, which has a panelled soffit and reveals. This is flanked by 16-pane sash windows with sills, all set under slightly cambered channelled wedge lintels that have projecting key-blocks. The first floor has similar windows, with 16-pane sashes on the right and left, and a 12-pane sash window above the door. The roof is hipped and has stacks at the ends.
