Description

The former Sunday School, located in the churchyard of Saint Lawrence, was built in 1818 for Reverend W. Bentinck. This single-storey building is constructed of brick with a roughcast finish and features a slate roof. It has four bays arranged in a 1:2:1 pattern. There are boarded doors on the left and right sides, both beneath hoodmoulds. The other bays contain 16-pane sash windows, also under hoodmoulds. A central plaque on the building bears the inscription: 'This school for GIRLS was erected by the Revd. W. Bentinck Rector of Sigglesthorne A.D. 1818.' The building has an axial stack and a hipped roof.
