Description

This milestone, located approximately 30 metres south of Southlands on the north side of Thorngumbald Main Road, dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is made of limestone and features a cast-iron plate. The stone is whitewashed and has black lettering. It has a flat head and a round-headed plate that measures about 0.3 metres square and stands 0.6 metres high. The attached plate displays an inscription in relief that reads: PATRINGTON 7 HULL 11.
