Description
This fountain, located about 10 metres to the south-west of Sledmere House, dates from the mid to late 19th century and is made of artificial stone. It stands approximately 3 metres high and features a circular plinth that supports a tripod base, which is adorned with river gods holding a trefoiled basin. Above this, there is another tripod that supports dolphins and a circular basin topped by a putto. The entire structure is set within a circular basin that has a diameter of about 5 metres. The fountain is included for its group value with Sledmere House.
