Description
This is a mid-19th century terrace of five buildings located on the west side of St John Street, Beverley, and including number 1 Minster Moorgate. The buildings are constructed of red brick with a Welsh slate roof. Each building is two storeys high and features one round-arched window and one flat-arched window. The window sills are set on tabs, lacking glazing bars, and the round-headed windows are grouped as pairs. The ground floor of each building has a canted bay with pilasters, an entablature, and a cornice. Each has a four-panel door with the upper panel glazed and incorporating a pointed arch, accessed by three steps. Number 1 is slightly larger than the other buildings, with three windows to the first floor, one of which is round-arched, and two bays at ground floor. The buildings have brick plinths. The group is notable for being unaltered and facing the Minster.
