Description

The Blacksmith Arms is a public house built around 1820. It features whitewashed brick with stone dressings and a concrete tile roof. The building is two storeys high and has three bays, with the outer bays being semicircular on both storeys. The central entry includes a six-fielded-panel door topped by a radial fanlight, all set within a Tuscan doorcase supported by attached pillars that hold up a large modillioned cornice. The windows are tripartite sashes with continuous sills, except for a central eight-pane sash on the first floor. All windows have keystones, which are fluted except for those on the outer bays of the first floor. The roof is hipped.
