Description
The garage block located at the rear of Nos 2 and 3 King's Place dates from the mid-19th century and was originally a stable block. It is constructed of brown brick and features a pitched slate roof with ashlar coped gables. The building has two storeys and includes a stucco band. There are four depressed arched doors, each adorned with stucco voussoirs and keystones, along with four oblong panels positioned above them. The end elevation displays three round arches, also with stucco voussoirs and keystones; the central arches are channelled, with the eastern arch being blind, the western arch serving as a door, and the central arch containing a window with glazing bars. Above, there is a blocked window with a depressed arched head. The words "Holyrood" are inscribed on the band, indicating that this structure was likely part of a larger plan to create a square called Holyrood around the Kilnsea Cross.
