Description
Southwold Farmhouse is a house dating from the mid-18th century, with an early 19th-century extension to the right. It is constructed of red brick and has a pantiled roof. The original part of the house features a central direct entry plan and is two storeys high with three bays. A late 19th-century porch has a boarded door, which is flanked by four-pane sash windows set in architraves with sills beneath flat brick arches. There is a band at the first floor level, where sliding sashes with glazing bars are also present. The eaves cornice is dentilled brick, and there are end stacks with plain close verges. The extension to the right is taller, also two storeys, and consists of one bay. It has four-pane sash windows with sills under cambered heads on both the ground and first floors, along with end stacks and plain close verges.
