Description
Elloughton Garth is a house located on Elloughton Main Street, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with red brick dressings and features a pantiled roof. The building is two storeys high and has a symmetrical elevation with five bays, along with a rear range. The front door consists of six raised and fielded panels and has an overlight with vertical glazing bars, all set within a pilastered doorcase that includes a pulvinated frieze and a dentilled pediment. The windows are sashes with sills and glazing bars, positioned under gauged brick arches. On the first floor, there are five similar sashes under timber lintels. The right end wall features two-light casements with latticed glazing bars. The house has a cogged and stepped brick eaves cornice, tumbled-in brick to the raised gables on brick kneelers, and end stacks.
