Description

No. 1 Highgate is an early 18th-century building that stands two storeys tall with attics, constructed of painted brick and topped with a steep pantile roof. It features an ogee moulded brick bracket cornice and a corner chimney stack. The front has one window above a door with six panels and a three-light fanlight. There is also one window on the Market Place side, which appears as part of the facade of No. 15 Wednesday Market. The building has rendered voussoirs and a projecting brick base.
