Description

No. 13 Wednesday Market is a building dating from around 1790. It stands three storeys tall, constructed of painted brick with a pantile roof featuring coupled brackets at the eaves. The façade includes three windows with stone flat arched heads and carved voussoirs on the first and ground floors, and near flush frame sashes with glazing bars. The central doorcase is made of wood, featuring a plain architrave and enriched consoles that support a dentil pediment. The entrance has a six-panel door topped by an arched fanlight. One of the ground floor windows has been replaced by a shop front with a wooden pilaster case.
