Description
The Manor House is a late 17th-century house located on Main Street in Kirby Underdale. It features a U-shaped plan and is constructed of red brick with pantiled roofs. The main elevation is two storeys high and consists of five bays arranged in a 2:1:2 pattern, with the central bay slightly projecting. The building has a chamfered brick plinth and a central 20th-century glazed door with an overlight, flanked by 20th-century cross-mullion windows that have sliding sashes and glazing bars. There is a band at the first floor level, which also has five similar windows. The house is topped with an elaborate stepped and dentilled brick eaves cornice, and it has hipped roofs with axial stacks located on the rear wings. No internal features from the time of construction appear to have survived.
