Description

The Rectory is an early 18th-century rectory with alterations and additions made in the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick, now rendered and painted, and has a pantile roof with brick coped gables and brick stacks. The building is two storeys high. The south front has four bays, with a slightly projecting three-bay main house to the left. The central doorway is framed by a round-headed surround with fluted pilasters, and features a half-glazed door and a fanlight. A tripartite glazing bar sash window has been altered to include glazed double doors on the left, and there is a tripartite sash window to the right. Above are three glazing bar sashes. To the right is a set-back wing with a small tripartite glazing bar sash window on the ground floor, a glazing bar sash above, and then a small lean-to porch with a 20th-century glazed door. Inside, there is a curved early 19th-century stick baluster staircase.
