Description

This is an early 19th-century pair of lodges with a gateway between them, located on Keldgate in Beverley. They are designed as a pair and are constructed of painted stucco over yellow brick. The lodges have a low-pitched hipped slate roof with iron spoutwork, wide eaves with a stucco soffit, and a scalloped valence to the fascia. Each lodge has a front with three recessed arched bays, featuring two windows and a central door with a fanlight. Number 45 has a four-panel door, while Number 47 has a more modern replacement. The windows are hung sashes with glazing bars.
