Description

This is a house, originally dating to the 17th century, which was extensively refronted in the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick in English bond, with a pantiled roof. The building is two storeys high and has four bays, arranged in a 2:1:1 configuration. It was originally designed with a centre-lobby-entry plan. The ground floor features a projecting 20th-century porch leading to a boarded door. To the right of the door is a two-light sliding sash window with glazing bars. To the left is a mullion-and-transom window, and to the extreme left, a 20th-century top-opening light with glazing bars. The first floor has two four-pane sash windows to the left and two two-light sliding sashes with glazing bars to the right. The building has end and large axial stacks, topped with a hipped roof. The interior includes a large inglenook fireplace and a boxed staircase to the rear.
