Description
64 High Street is an 18th-century building that stands three storeys tall, constructed of brick with a stone-coped eaves parapet. It features rusticated stone quoins and a band at the first-floor cills. The facade has four windows with painted brick voussoirs, although the glazing bars are missing from the ground floor. The doorcase is adorned with panelled pilasters, one of which has a lion mask, and a frieze decorated with swags and medallions, topped by a dentil cornice and pediment. The door itself consists of six fielded panels, and there is a stone plinth with two foot scrapers. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 16 to 46 (even), 46A, 48 to 64 (even), 64A, and 66 to 100 (even).
