Description

This is an early 18th-century building on the north side of High Street. It is two storeys high and constructed of painted brick with a pantile roof. The front has two windows, each with a stone lintel and a hung sash window containing glazing bars. The ground floor has been altered in the late 18th century to create a shop front, featuring two large bow windows and a double door entrance positioned between them. A segmental fanlight with Gothic glazing bars sits above the entrance, and the glazed upper panels of the doors have ornamental glazing bars. The building forms a group with numbers 16 to 46 (even), 46A, 48 to 64 (even), 64A, 66 to 100 (even).
