Description

This gravestone, dating from 1710 or 1711, is located approximately one metre south of the south face of the tower of All Saints Church in Aughton. Made of ashlar, it measures about 1.5 metres by 0.5 metre and is laid flat on the ground. The inscription on the stone reads: "Here was laid the body of Boaz Holborne of Aughton who died January the 23rd 1710/11 And in the 67th year of his age."
