Description
Irby Hall is a house dating from the early 17th century, with an entrance facade added in 1888. It is constructed of stone with a slate roof. The entrance facade features a stone ground floor and a timber-framed first floor that replaced the original timber-framed facade. The building is two storeys high and has four bays, with the end bays projecting under gables. The third bay forms a two-storey gabled porch. The first floor jetties out on corbels, and there are trefoil-headed panels below the first floor windows in the end bays. The ground floor has a combination of 4:3:4-light casement windows with transoms, while the first floor features small-paned casements with two lights and three-light windows in the end bays, which also have four-light attic windows. The entrance includes a 20th-century eight-panel door with original decorated timber above it. The left side of the house has one flush and one projecting lateral stack, along with two-light double-chamfered-mullioned windows. The right side has a large projecting stack and a two-light mullioned window. The rear of the house has gabled wings, mostly featuring 20th-century casements and two mullioned windows.
