Description
The village cross at the junction with Eastham Village Road in Bebington was built in 1891 and is made of stone. It features square steps and a plinth adorned with cusped panels and canted panelled angles. The south face displays a shield with three mitres and the date, while the west side has the inscription: "WORK WHILE/IT IS/YET DAY". The east side reads: "FEAR GOD/HONOUR/THE KING", and the rear features a shield with three leopards representing England. The cornice is supported by angel corbels. Atop the structure is a tapered octagonal chamfered cross with a central hole and foliate ends. This cross is a copy of the Glastonbury cross.
