Description
The Old Rectory is a former rectory built in 1840, with a later addition to the south. It is constructed of stone and has a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has five bays with an irregular plan. The second bay projects under a gable with a parapet, flanked by clustered stacks. The third bay also projects under a gable. The fourth bay features a half-dormer with a wide sill supported by fan mouldings. The windows are straight-headed, with some including mullions. The porch in the second bay has entrances accessed by steps to the returns, and the front features a four-centred arch with remnants of a timber balustrade. The left return has a rectangular bay window with a wide sill over a battered bay. The rear facade has a projecting centre with an external stack on the right return, adjacent to a stack at right angles. There is a recessed entrance.
