Description

This is a bridge built around 1830, designed by George Stephenson for the Liverpool and Manchester Railway. It is constructed from rusticated stone and features a later iron top parapet. The bridge has a round arch made of radiating voussoirs, with flanking pilaster strips and retaining walls. The parapet is set on a raised band, and the number 77 is painted on the east side.
