Description
This former outbuilding, located to the south of Chapel House Farm at Nos. 8 and 9 The Meadows, is believed to date from the 17th century. It is constructed of stone and features a roof made of stone slate and asbestos. The building stands two storeys high. The east side is rendered and has four entrances along with two pitching holes; the end bay has an inserted weather boarded wall and a stone slate roof. The right return has external steps leading to an entrance. The rear of the building contains two windows. Inside, there are two king post trusses with struts, and the members are chamfered. There is a cross wall to the south, and the left return wall is part of a demolished barn. This building is included for its group value.
