Description
Kelton, also known as the House of Providence, is an early 19th-century house located on Woodlands Road. The building is constructed of stucco and features a hipped slate roof. It stands two storeys high and has three bays, with the centre bay projecting forward. The left bay includes a later extension.
On the ground floor, there is a lintel band, and the top features a frieze, cornice, and blocking course. The windows on the ground floor and the central window on the first floor have an architrave, frieze, and cornice. All the windows are sashed with glazing bars, except for the ground floor window on the right, which has a small-paned casement. The entrance is marked by an Ionic porch with coupled columns and a glazed doorcase. There are later brick additions to the right that are not of interest.
