Description
The Saddle Inn is a public house built in the 1850s. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and stands four storeys high, featuring three bays on Dale Street and five bays on Hackins Hey. The ground floor has a 20th-century design that mimics the late 19th-century style of the Hackins Hey facade, which includes elliptically arched windows set between flat pilasters, adorned with carved heads, and a decorative frieze and cornice. All windows are framed with architraves, while the sash windows are topped with alternating triangular and segmental pediments. The second floor windows are enhanced with eared architraves and sills supported by brackets. The facade on Hackins Hey is treated in a similar manner.
